BUSINESS SITUATION:
Laing O’Rourke, as a sizeable fully-integrated construction company, was beginning the process of digitising different sections of their workflow. There strategic supply chain managers had begun to used iPad Pros in their warehouses. This enabled smart material procurement decisions using cloud data and predicate analytics to enhance digital supply chain management. However, they needed a ruggedised solution to protect their tablets in industrial environments that span from supply warehouse to active construction and demolition sites.
OUR SOLUTION:
ARMOR-X was in a unique position to provide a solution to Laing O’Rourke. We recommended our EXN series of triple-layer ultra-ruggedized cases. These cases combine a rigid internal engineering frame and a TPU shock absorption jacket to protect against drops. Perfect for a rough dynamic environment like a building site. Hand straps were also selected as an additional add on ensuring that the user could safely and securely interact with the tablet while having one hand free to input data or perform other tasks. Kickstands are built into the EXN series allowing hands-free viewing.
